Hidekichi Kato Limner Edo Kite Kato Toshima We have excellent skills in fabrication of Edo kites and have a reputation for elaborate paintings of warrior encased in armor. The paintings are drawn using traditional techniques.
In addition, we belong to Toshima Ward Traditional Crafts Preservation Association. We contributed to the popularization and enlightenment of traditional crafts in the local community by actively involved in hands-on class as a lecturer.

Tomoko Sakai Lathe molding operator Sakai Kobo Kita Our basic stance in creating a piece of work is to imagine what the people who use it will feel. We won a prize four times at the Japan Craft Exhibition, which evaluates the pottery as a daily tool.
We are particular about glaze and create works with high technology such as expressing unique luster and patterns using chemical reactions caused by contact of different types of glaze.
In addition, as a member of the Kita Ward Traditional Crafts Preservation Association, we conducts hands-on lectures at elementary schools and children's halls. We have also been working hard to train younger people at our own workshop.

Yasuo Kujirai Tofu and its processed foods manufacturing worker Limited Company Asahiya Kujirai Shoten Arakawa The person has been involved in tofu production for over 60 years and is a representative of the company which has three shops in the district of the Arakawa-ku Machiya. He is also a craftsman. He has developed a number of new products and are striving to produce delicious tofu to which he puts extra effort after carefully selecting ingredients. In the past, he won the Tokyo Tofu Manufacturing Competition, and his manufacturing techniques have been highly esteemed.
He has contributed to the promotion and development of the industry, including serving as a director of Tokyo Metropolitan Tofu Commerce and Industry Voluntary Association for more than 30 years.
In fiscal 1999, his skills were recognized and certified as a Arakawa Meister.

Kanji Maruyama Screen Printing Workers Anshindo Cooperation Adachi In terms of the pad printing system which had been requiring specialized knowledge and expensive machines, he developed "Nandemo-kun", which is a printing machine that can be easily operated and carried together by people who do not have a printing experience, and can print anything at low cost on any site. Cooperating with the ward, he has been working on "Safety Print Business" as a countermeasure against dementia patients' wanderings. Regarding "TASK Manufacturing Grand Prize", he has had outstanding achievements towards from 2011 to 2016, and in 2013, he received the grand prize.
In addition, he has been contributing greatly to fostering the manufacturing industry in the ward, including providing a workshop lecturer and an event to the children in the events of the ward, and accepting young people who are anxious about working in order to provide them workplace experience.
